Role: Backend Engineer

Entelope Since: January 2015

What brought you to Entelo?

When I had my first contact for a position at Entelo, it happened that I'd first met the team outside, before I actually had an interview, so I had a sneak peek that the people here are really, really, great. Second is that I love to see my work is helping Entelo achieve our goals.

What keeps you at Entelo?

Definitely the people. I've met a lot of great people at Entelo, and I even still have contact with those that are not part of the team, since. It's like we are one big family.

What fuels your passion for DEI?

I was born and raised in Kosovo, and I've seen the struggles of minorities on both sides, Serbian and Albanian, in really challenging areas. My whole childhood I've been living in some kind of conservative environment, a small city, but I've always wanted to try to change something in my community and to help people that have experienced any kind of repression. I've probably conveyed that into my life and work, later. I try to somehow teach my kid to follow that path.

1-1What do you do when you’re not working?

Spending active time with my wife and son, but also a lot of trail running and I'm a passionate skier, so on winter days I'm on the mountain as much as I can.

What pets do you have?

I have a miniature schnauzer named Meggie.

Next item on your bucket list?

There are a lot, but I would like to travel the Balkans and tour East Europe next winter and visit mountains in the region for ski touring and freeriding as much as I can.2-1

What is something most people don't know about you?

This is an internal joke from the Belgrade office, but: "I don't know if I told you this yet, but I'm from Kosovo :)"

And here's what fellow Entelopes think of Nikola:

"Nikola is a very positive and dedicated colleague, and it is a pleasure working with him every day."

"Nikola's sense of humor always brings a good atmosphere in the team even when there's difficult circumstances."

We hope you've enjoyed learning about Nikola!
