Announcing the Entelo Button

July 9, 2013 at 4:05 PM by Jon Bischke

(UPDATE on 7/11/13: Irina Shamaeva and Jim Stroud, two of the most influential thought leaders in the recruiting industry have written detailed pieces on the Entelo Button. You can find them at The Entelo Button and COOL TOOL CAGEMATCH: Falcon vs Entelo respectively.)

Entelo launched nine months ago with a focus on helping fast-growth companies fill their most in-demand positions. Since launch we've been fortunate enough to work with some of the world's fastest-growing companies and watch as our software helps them find incredible people.

Today marks a new chapter in Entelo's history as we start to bring Entelo to our users, wherever they might be. We are publicly unveiling the Entelo Button, a brand-new Chrome extension that allows our users to access rich Entelo data regardless of where they might be on the web. The Entelo Button has been rolled out to our customers in recent weeks and we're sharing screenshots of the tool for the first time today. (Note: For logged-in Entelo users, you can install the Entelo Button here.)

Let's take a look at how the Entelo Button works. It's pretty simple really. Let's say you're sourcing talent on a website like Github. Github is an incredibly data-rich site, perhaps richer than any other when it comes to engineering talent. Yet, Github doesn't tell the whole story. And that's where the Entelo Button comes in.

When you're out on a site like Github the Entelo Button will "light up" when you are on a profile page of someone who's in the Entelo database. Let's see what that looks like when you're on the Github profile of Entelo team member John McGrath.

John's Github profile is awesome for checking out code he's written and what he's interested in. However, John's much more than just his Github profile. And you can see from the Entelo Button that we can quickly access other profiles like his Google+, Twitter, Quora, Kaggle and much more. You can quickly hop over to John's Entelo profile as well and even identify if we've found publicly-available contact information for John.

But that's not it. The Entelo Button also allows you to perform CRM actions on a potential candidate. You can add the individual to lists you've create on Entelo, write notes on the candidate, etc. all without ever leaving the website that you are on.

Screen Shot 2013-07-09 at 11.49.24 PMThe Entelo Button works across all of the sites that we index at Entelo and using a sophisticated matching algorithm, is more accurate in finding additional information on top talent than anything else that we've seen on the market. It's also the only tool of its kind that identifies when an individual has made recent changes to their web profile, possibly hinting at a stronger willingness to be open to new opportunities.

We're very excited about this next evolution for Entelo. It's just the tip of the iceberg for some new things we'll be announcing in the second half of 2013. Please send us your feedback on the Entelo Button. We'd love to hear how we can make it even better.
