Here at Entelo, we put a premium on data privacy and data security. As organizations worldwide prepare for increased regulation around data privacy and protection, we are proud to announce that Entelo is now EU-U.S. Privacy Shield-Certified via self-certification and well on our way to GDPR compliance.

Now that Entelo is certified under the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework, we will continue our long-standing commitment to maintaining adequate safeguards and controls around personal data so that corporations large and small know that they are doing business with a trusted organization.

Administered by the International Trade Administration (ITA) within the U.S. Department of Commerce, the Framework requires compliance around matters such as informing individuals of their rights to their personal data, outlining our own liability and having further transparency in our privacy notice. Joining the Privacy Shield Framework is a voluntary action, but it is an important one because it is a legal commitment, enforceable under U.S. law.

Beyond Privacy Shield Certification, Entelo is also positioning for the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) compliance. Perhaps best recognized by one of its provisions, which essentially states that technology users have “the right to be forgotten,” the GDPR effectively extends the reach of the European Union’s data protection laws and establishes many new requirements for organizations that fall under its scope. In essence, GDPR outlines a standard of rights and principles governing the protection and use of EU citizens’ data, which means companies in and outside of the EU, including Entelo, are already working fast to make compliance a priority before the rules take effect on May 25, 2018. Our privacy team is working diligently to meet and exceed these new requirements.

Respecting candidates’ rights is core to our values and outside of government regulations, protecting our data is the right thing to do for our customers, candidates and anyone Entelo does business with. We are very proud of the Entelo’s privacy and security teams for working diligently to put us at the forefront of industry privacy and security standards, while continuously looking ahead for ways to strengthen our practices.
