Zelo - Bet you didn’t know that Minneapolis was a popular destination for Italian immigrants. Zelo is carrying on that tradition with simple, fresh Italian cuisine made from local ingredients. With great reviews, a solid wine list, and close proximity to the Hilton, this could be your spot to load up on the carbs you need for conferencing.
Brit’s Pub - Good food, good beer, good...lawn bowling? If you’re at Brit’s Pub, you’ll get all three of those things. This casual, no-nonsense bar is the perfect place to unwind with a group of your colleagues and friends after a day of workshops and networking.
Hell’s Kitchen - Looking for a breakfast that goes beyond pastries and lukewarm coffee? Then get over to Hell’s Kitchen for a sinfully delicious breakfast. Lemon ricotta pancakes, a peanut butter and bacon burger, and huevos rancheros lead a selection of delightful and inventive dishes.
Barrio - Tacos and Minneapolis may not quite be synonymous, but Barrio offers stellar and authentic Mexican fare and great cocktails to with a great ambience smack dab in the downtown core.
Dakota Jazz Club & Restaurant - Something of a Minneapolis institution, the Dakota Jazz Club is a throwback to the days when Jazz was the coolest music around. These days they still get top notch performers, and if you're looking for a relaxing place to take in some live tunes over dinner, Dakota is your spot.
Surly Brewery - With so many German immigrants making their way to Minnesota, The Twin Cities have a proud tradition of brewing beer, and Surly is probably the best brewery in Minneapolis. Yummy bar bites, a fire pit, and and a massive beer hall make it a great spot to hang out with a group and take in some real live Minnesotan ambience.
Minneapolis Institute of Art - Sporting a world-class art collection, the Minneapolis Institute of Art is well worth a trip for any art lovers.
Minneapolis Sculpture Garden - This downtown sculpture garden is right outside the Walker Art Center and is the perfect place to get some fresh air, enjoy a cup of coffee, or just stretch your legs while taking in some of the house-sized works.
The Basilica of Saint Mary - Built in 1907, the Basilica of Saint Mary is a magnificent example neoclassical architecture and the first Basilica established in the United States.
Minnehaha Park - Featuring a 53 foot waterfall, limestone bluffs, expansive gardens and majestic Mississippi River overlooks, Minnehaha park is an urban oasis well worth visiting during your trip.
The Guthrie Theater - With live productions of the classic, Romeo & Juliet, and the modern drama, Watch on the Rhine, slated for the week of ERE, any theater lovers will well-served at the award winning-Guthrie during ERE 2017.
