The Deloitte Human Capital Trends Report in 2017 found that talent acquisition and employee experience were two of the top 10 priorities for Human Resources Teams.
This was the topic of Vice President and Talent Acquisition Research Leader / Bersin, Deloitte Consulting LLP, Robin Erickson Ph.D.’s session earlier this summer, at the inaugural Recruiting Automation Summit, where she explained how HR leaders can benefit from embracing technology.
“I was thrilled by that, because that means that talent acquisition and employee experience are high on the minds of all of the CEOs of all the organizations [surveyed],” Erickson said.

One of the biggest takeaways from Erikson's research is that one of the largest differentiators of highly mature talent acquisition teams is their use of technology. Her research found that highly mature talent acquisition teams were 6 times more likely to make data-based decisions and 4 times more likely to embrace cognitive tools and AI.
“The use of these tools are fairly naicent,” Erickson said. “We found that it was a differentiator for the higher levels of maturity.”
