New on Entelo: Search by Skills

With the launch of our new Top Skills functionality we've had a number of questions about how to identify candidates who have a certain skills tag. We use a proprietary system to identify skills for candidates on Entelo (which includes things like questions answered on public forums, code commits, etc.) and there are times when you might want to only find people with a certain skill. You can now do that on Entelo.

The query is pretty simple. Just type in "skills:skill_name" where "skill_name" is the name of the skill you are looking for. For example, let's say you only want to see candidates with the "css" skill. Your query would look like this:

And your results would look like this:

A skills query will look different from a regular query because with a regular query we do all sorts of cool stuff like term expansion, fuzzy matching, etc. Much of the time that's great but there are other times when you don't want that and just want to see people who match a certain skill tag. Now you can do that.

Enjoy this new way to search Entelo and feel free to post any comments or feedback below!
