Early yesterday, Apple announced an executive shuffle that saw Denise Young-Smith, former Head of Retail HR, promoted to lead HumanResources for the entire company. Former Head of HR, Joel Podolny, will transition to a role where he'll place his entire focus on Apple University--Apple's internal education program aimed to instill deep facets of company culture into management.

Podolny's move to a full-time role developing Apple University, which works as a retention program in addition to a method of institutionalizing Apple's culture, begs the question of the company's ability to continue to grow and hang on to talent. Bloomberg TV felt similarly, which is why they brought our CEO Jon Bischke on to discuss in their segment "What's it Like Working at Apple?"

In the interview, Jon and the hosts discuss the changes at Apple and the tendency for top talent to prefer working for small startups with massive potential. Recently, Apple alumni have moved on from the tech giant to work for Jawbone, Facebook's Paper, and Nest, which was acquired for a massive sum by Google.
