slideshare-logo (2)As an agile, internet savvy, adaptable recruiter, you’ve undoubtedly come across SlideShare, the home of the web’s largestslideshow sharing community. Chock full of guides, presentations, and infographics, and boasting over 60M unique views a month, SlideShare has emerged as a massively utilized platform for businesses to connect with the public.

How does this fit in to your company’s hiring goals? I’m glad you asked.

SlideShare represents an opportunity to showcase your company’s culture, projects, and employees in an easily digestible, hyper-sharable, and highly visual medium.

Below, we’ve included some examples of companies whose SlideShare content is providing a massively informative avenue for candidates to research and get a peek inside their organization.

Unsurprisingly, marketing software experts Hubspot have a prolific presence on SlideShare. While most of their content surrounds preaching their marketing philosophy, they do occasionally take a step back and detail specifics about their own organization.

Here, Hubspot takes the time to display their global brand and trumpet their rapid expansion. Having the opportunity to see a company’s worldwide engagement and macroscopic perspective is of great value to a prospective candidate and will prove to be very attractive.

As you click through the slides, you’ll also notice a pop-up registration form to learn more about Hubspot’s tools. Try replicating this by providing a similar window that links to your job board or includes a form to request more information about your company. In this way, SlideShare can operate not only as an informational and branding resource, but as a source of inbound interest as well.

LinkedIN takes the branding opportunity a step further in the following slideshow. Not only do they demonstrate the breadth of their establishment in the recruiting field by including pictures of the talent acquisition teams they work with, but they fit in a picture of their own growing and enthusiastic team in their sleek offices. Talk about two birds with one stone!

Tech giant IBM boasts an impressive SlideShare presence in what they refer to as ‘The IBM Network’. This channel provides links to the profiles of some of IBM’s most exciting forward thinkers, various reports on emerging technologies, and, most interestingly to your talent acquisition goals, descriptions of specific projects they’re working on. It’s no secret that one of the most appealing aspects of a new job opportunity is the chance to work on new, exciting projects, and the more deeply you can explain what your company is working on, the more you’ll interest candidates.

Below, IBM offers an in-depth look at their Storwize project, which offers storage to small and medium sized businesses.

When it comes to displaying your company culture, feel free to be as detailed and explicit as you like. A “What it’s like to work here” SlideShare gives you an opportunity to show off your office space, include photos of company off-sites, and detail other perks. Who better to look up to than SlideShare themselves, who posted a slideshow exactly to these specifications:

Lastly, SlideShare is a spectacular resource for furthering your own recruiting education. There are a myriad of guides and re-purposed webinar content available, including the following piece on the 50 best HR/Recruiting quotes, and Entelo’s very own slideshow on how to recruit using Github, Dribbble, Quora & More.
