When it comes to honing your recruiting skills, where are you looking? You could attend a webinar each week. You could follow top influencers on twitter. You 4 Recruiting Groups and Communitiescould read the Entelo Blog all day (and you should). But the best way to sharpen up is to learn from the experience, wisdom, best practices, and failures of others. If you're going to engage with the recruiting community, it's best not to merely lurk, but to bring something to the table and open some real conversations. Below are a handful of recruiting groups and communities you can frequent to learn from your recruitment comrades.

1. RecruitingBlogs

Recruiting Groups

RecruitingBlogs is more than the name suggests. Including a 1:1 chat feature, boisterous comment threads, and a social media-like experience, Recruiting Blogs is a full dashboard of recruiting resources and conversation. In many ways, the site operates as a Facebook specifically for recruiters, and users can post their articles, comment on other posts, and chat directly with one another. RecruitingBlogs also partners with recruiting pros to deliver best-in-class webinars and other content. Looking to make a move? There's also a job board with tons of prime looking recruitment opportunities. RecruitingBlogs truly is a one stop shop for enhancing your recruiting skills and engaging with the talent acquisition community.

2. Boolean Black Belt

Boolean Recruiting Groups

Boolean Black Belt is not for the faint of heart. Once you've got the basics of sourcing, emailing, and interviewing down, BBB is there to help you take the next great leap. Instructions on building complex x-ray searches, deep data analysis, and metrics driven talent acquisition which site founder Glen Cathey dubs "Moneyball Recruiting" are all found here. In addition to the insightful articles posted at the main site, BBB's LinkedIn Group is a great place for more technical discussions and content sharing.

3. Recruiters Online

While Recruiters Online originated as a sort of SaaS recruiting consultancy, their Facebook group is a chatty and energetic internet locale. My favorite thing about this group is that most of the posts are recruiters posing open questions to the group, which are then answered and expanded with lively discussion. If you find yourself in a recruiting conundrum, or just want to see what trials other recruiters are dealing with, this is the place to go.

4. TalentCulture World of Work

The brainchild of Meghan M Biro and Kevin Grossman, TalentCulture provides an insightful blog borne from years of experience not just with recruitment, but also the arenas of company culture, career strategy, and talent management. In addition to the content, TalentCulture hosts a weekly Twitter chat, #Tchat, which always ends up bringing interesting talent acquisition pros to the table to discuss pressing issues in the world of work. Jump in to #TChat on Wednesdays at 7PM EST, or tune in to #TChat Radio immediately before for more in depth discussion with co-founders Biro and Grossman.
